One common complaint is about wait times, especially during peak hours when the kitchen is buzzing with orders. Some customers feel the portion sizes of certain dishes, like the lamb tikka, could be better for the price, leaving them wanting more after such a delicious meal. The absence of itemized bills raises eyebrows, with some patrons feeling uncertain about the final tally at checkout. Additionally, the presence of a bustling environment can lead to noise levels that feel a bit high for some guests, especially during the busiest dinner times.
One of our favourite meals this year! We cannot wait to come back and enjoy more of what Kabul Karahi has to offer. We got the Chicken Charsi Karahi & the Kabali Pilao rice.. absolutely delicious! So fresh, the bread is made on-site and great! Also that rice omg.....the best! You will be seeing me soon!
Really enjoyed the food, ordered the charsi lamb karahi and lamb charsi Afghani tikka. Food did take quite a while but was served piping hot. The portion for the tikka was too little for the money but taste was very nice and wasn't chewy. The Charsi Lamb Karahi was delicious and the serving portion adequate. They don't have an itemised bill so you have to take their word for the charges.
We were visiting nearby and didn't want to go to My Nawaab, so looked for something in Levenshulme and came across this lovely small eatery. Parking was no problem as there is a supermarket nearby with free parking. I went with my family including young children, and they had highchairs available. The smell was lovely inside, as well as the decor. We ordered a platter and the chappal kebabs. Everything was fresh, lovely, and not too pricey either. The kabuli rice was amazing, and is probably the best I've had in the UK. The chappal kebabs were decent, and the meats as part of the platter were all excellent. Finished with tea and sugared almonds. Will definitely go again.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the decor was beautiful! It was my first visit here with my family, and we had a wonderful time. The lady who served us was fantastic—attentive and welcoming. Every dish we ordered was thoroughly enjoyable. The mixed grill stood out with its variety and perfectly juicy meat, and the chapli kebabs were a definite highlight. We ended the meal with some tea (kava), which was the perfect finishing touch. A true treat and a memorable dining experience with my lovely family!
Really pleasant meal on a Monday evening. With some friends we all ordered the lamb kebabs with an option of any 2 from 3 of rice, chips or nan bread. (£8.99). The kebabs arrived on a hot plate on bed of chopped onions. Salad was an extra £1.50 which was possibly the only gripe. A lovely lady called Faza was very patient and attentive and added to the pleasant surroundings.
